Conor McGrath has been working in the aquatics industry for 4 years. He is a qualified lifeguard, AUSTSWIM accredited learn to swim instructor, and a valued member of the Lane 4 Aquatics team. Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, Conor has a vast sporting background competing in sports such as surf lifesaving and football, but his real passion lies with track cycling and swimming. Conor is a known identity on the Rockhampton cycling scene- originally as a top level competitor, but also as a coach.

This passion for sport, coupled with a desire to learn has led to a career path in the health and fitness industry. Conor has been working with Lane 4 Aquatics whilst completing his ‘Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science’ degree with Central Queensland University in Rockhampton where he resides with his girlfriend, Steph. Conor has excelled throughout his program, and is currently preparing for his graduation ceremony in the first week of March.

“I’ve been around sports my entire life. It’s a passion that helped me decide where I wanted to take my career. The degree I’ve done is a huge advantage when looking to attain upper level jobs within the industry. I’ve been lucky enough to have had the support of the Lane 4 staff and management and have made some great friends and had loads of fun in the process.”

The Lane 4 family is of course very proud of his achievements. Conor migrates between several of the local Lane 4 facilities, so next time you’re at South Rockhampton, North Rockhampton or Mt. Morgan, keep an eye out and say hello!
